Chicago native and Alternative - Soul performer, Yohan will celebrate his upcoming birthday this year by raising awareness on mental health alongside his long-time friend and manager, Herman Little. The event will be a birthday celebration that will raise funds benefiting NAMI Chicago and Portia Ann Stevenson Foundation to support the youth and families that have been affected by mental illness.The forthcoming Portia Ann Stevenson Foundation (PASF), founded by Yohan in honor of his dear mother will operate under the mission and belief “that a healthy body cannot operate without a healthy mind and spirit.” The Portia Ann Stevenson Foundation will actively work to support programs and community-based organizations that focus on those living with mental illness. PASF will collaborate with mental health professionals and members of the arts and entertainment communities to utilize the creative process, and the resulting artwork to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety, and increase self-esteem.
